Investment boosters

Following the successes of 2005 and 2006, Dexion managed to raise capacities in 2007 as well. The sales of nearly all product groups grew, order receipts remained continuously high throughout the year, and all production sites were working at a corresponding level of capacity utilisation. Beam production for pallet racking even rose by more than 50 per cent.

As the trend towards large orders for Dexion remained unabated, the beginning of 2007 saw management give the green light for the development and construction of a new welding plant. Investments for the new plant – nearly 16 metres long, 7 metres wide and 3 metres high – totalled €1.01m. Our own contribution amounted to approximately €400,000.

Dexion is relying more and more on its own manufacture. After all, it is these individual solutions – from the construction of electrical control cabinets to the control systems for the welding plants and the Dexion MOVOs – that are making a substantial contribution to the steady rise in product quality.
